Veronica Santi is a writer, art historian and filmmaker. Her research focuses mainly on contemporary art and public art projects. Her video practice links art and cinema. She is committed to present cutting edge topics, facing political and gender issues and engaging broad audiences that transcend geographic, racial, and socioeconomic barriers.
She regularly writes about art criticism for newspapers, catalogs and magazines, including Artforum, Domus, ArteFuse New York, Artribune. Among her publications: "Arte In Construction" (2015, UAO editions) and "Francesca Alinovi. Scritti" (with M. Bergamini, 2019, postmediabooks).
She is the author and film director of Raid Project, where she is experimenting new narrative techniques of Live-Cinema.
Among her films: "I am not alone anyway" (2017), "DON N A M A F I A" (2018), "Off-Identikit" (2020). Her second feature film "Raid Runner" will be out in 2021. She also produces videos and short documentaries for galleries, museums and artists.
From 2012 to 2016 she worked in New York for the non-profit organization ArtBridge.
In 2013 she created Off Site Art, a public art project in L'Aquila and in 2014 she co-founded the non-profit association with the same name. She has been President and Artistic Director for Off Site Art until January 2020.
